    Hmm..
    Google search : build.prop spoof
Search xda forum : there are lots of modded video player apps ( that use spoofing )

    warning...
make a backup of your data/apps
make sure you have a firmware for your device (encase you brick it )
you can only edit build.prop on rooted devices
If you corrupt the build.prop = bricked
If the file permission is set wrong = bricked
If you spoof a device...you need to reset all the Google play apps ( clear apps data )
Use a safe app like total commander for editing ( settings / allow root )

    Cheers

  • How to change device id in build.prop?

Hello and thank you in advance for any help I am attempting use my local cable co. (spectrum) tv app to see my device as a approved device for a service in which I am paying there is no illegalities involved only confusion. Unfortunately the list of devices they approve, in my opinion, are quite frankly inadequate (or garbage). attached is my stock built build.prop
