Today I like to indroduce in my short review the OUKITEl C8, which you can get for under 70 USD. The look and feel on first check is handsome in plastic with a glossy backside. It fits perfect for a one-handed use, because it is a leight-weight phone in 18:9 format.

The Essentials
CPU and Graphic Power | ~ The MTK6580A has enough power for daily use in internet, office and social media connectivity, ~ Small games are possible, larger games are not the mission of the C8 |
Memory | ~ Standard with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM |
Connectivity | ~ The Wlan is fast and has a good range ~ 3G is working as expected ~ no 4G available ~ Bluetooth connect fast and stable |
Screen | ~ C8’s 5.5-inches display has a standard resolution at 1280x640 pixels and sufficient brightness even for direct sunlight ~ The LTPS-technology behind the screen let us assume a low battery draining concept. ~ In fact the screen has a cold temperature, but clear and sharp ~ Touch of the screen is responsive |
Audio | ~ Speaker sound is clear, but could use bit more loudness and bass. For for kick on the ears use the MTK Engineering App ~ Over earphone I notice a much better sound experience, tested with xiaomi earphones, I get a clear, noiseless well balanced sound ~ BT Audio works fine in good sound quality |
Camera | ~ Cameras doing their job good, nothing special, but for the snapshots it is enough |
Battery | ~ With the 3000mAh I had mostly no problem for two days, the C8 needs not much battery, even in heavy usage, there is for sure enough battery for one day |
Antutu Benchmark | ~ 23579 points |
Oukitel C8 versus Xiaomi Redmi 4x
Resume
We can keep it short at the end. You will get a useful and stable entry-level device without any bigger issues. You will maybe miss 4G, but don’t forget the price. Don’t forget the beauty design in different colors and the good display.
+++ very stable working
+++ very low price (69$ by example on GEARBEST)
+++ economical and bright screen
+++ good audio sound over earphone and BT Audio
+/- entry-level CPU and Graphic power
--- missing 4G
-- no LED notification
Thanks to Oukitel for providing me with the C8.
