while shorting the pin i can connect the box to my pc but the usb burn tool fails at 1% error:
romcode/initialize DDR/identify/usb control setup error

Try loading rom and press Start, then Connect while shortening

Maybe unplugging usb cable and re plugging work for you

I have tried shorting every set of pins on the chip. I have found 2 pair that will start it loading but with both of them, it fails at 2%. The pins are very soft and they ding easily.

Sounds like you have the wrong burn package for that device (or potentially a bad cable).

The cable has worked for my other box so I think it is alright. I think I will pick up a new one to be safe. When you refer to burn package, do you mean the firmware or the version of USB Burning Tool I am using?

I have had one case where the eMMC chip went bad, and no effort to flash it back would remedy the problem. It's rare, though.

I tried almost all pins on board of CQ II p212 BGA KLM8G1WEPO-B031 (Samsung)....without luck.

Need oscilator now...hope they have one in school

Mesure several soldering pins and see if there is 200MHZ..(clock speed)

I experienced this too. After flashing wrong fw I could enter MASK mode but after 2% burning tool exited....every time.

Then I had similiar issues with H96pro 2/16...after like 3-7 times flash went through...strange...
