Which is why i decided to ask for, for at the very least, ideas for a start point.

I know i'll end up writing a launcher app to replace the main one just to make sure the video plays with out me having to go down and do something every morning.

I did look at those before posting, but seemed incredible difficult to do any sort of modifications to. From what i saw it seemed really easy to brick the unit to just get google play on in.
    Hi ,

important are your needs , what you want to do with the Stick , AML & RK , both FW can be

modified , you only need root , i think a S912 2/8GB , or similar is good enough , best to look

for ReviewVideos of Sticks on YT , GooglePlayStore is on nearly every Stick already installed ,

    good luck / gefattern

I was asked to put up a Digital Ad display (Basicly just a couple video's playing in repeated loop) in our lobby. I would like to be able to replace the boot logo on the unit so a firmware i could modify would great.

I've owned a few Rockchip (imitio MX1/MX2 and a UG802) based units personally in the past and hated them. They always had such bad Wifi Connections in them.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
