I have been searching for a little while and still could not find a way to run Chromecast on Google uncertified TV devices.

So I ask this question.

Is it possible to run Chromecast on Google uncertified TV device?

If yes, steps, please.

No, nope, never! The Chromecast app only works on Certified ATV/GTV devices.

The only app I've found that mimics Chromecast is the app "CastReceiver" on Google Play Store. Will have to pay for Premium to unlock the app for more than the 5 minute trial cutoff time.

But, if you are constantly Casting with services that require DRM like Widevine L1 (Netflix, PrimeVideo, Disney+, etc.), then it is best just to buy a regular Chromecast or an official androidtv device.
