This review is for the all new MK808b PRO from Geekbuying,Iv been looking forward to trying out this for a wile now.
First of all i must thank the guys and girls at geekbuying for the prompt & trouble free service.

MK808B Pro is a smart Android stick . (Also called HDMI dongle, Android PC stick, TV dongle, etc.) Once connected this stick to the HDMI interface of TV, it will convert the regular TV into a Smart TV.

The MK808b PRO is the s905 version of the older MK808b plus.The MK808b PRO come's with the Amlogic S905 Cortex A53 Processor 2.0GHz It has the same outer case as the older model which is a good design & has ventilation holes on both sides of the stick.

In the below photo you can see I have removed what they call a heatsink,A 0.3mm sliver of alu is not a heatsink IMO.
You can also see the recovery button on the top right of the stick
The MK808b PRO has one full sized USB port,one OTG port (Mini USB)Power port (Mini USB) HDMI port & a micro SD card slot oh not forgetting the recovery button located on the top side near the HDMI port.
The MK808B Plus boots straight into the MediaBox launcher which is designed for TV use & is easy to use.But i like nova launcher so i installed that & it made it feel & look a load better.

Boot time is around 55 seconds to the home screen & around another 10 seconds to compleat.The device comes with a fair few apps pre installed like ,Facebook,Twitter,Movie HD,Show Box,video mix,mobdro,Netflix,Quick support,Kodi.They all will need updating as they are older versions & prompt you to update.

The MK808 PRO comes with kodi 15.2 installed with lots of addones most of which dont work so i soon ditched that kodi & installed the latest 16.2 jarvis.
Iv tested quite a few different movie streams & overall the playback is not bad but i have had a few lock ups and freezes witch is not a good sign,So that prompted me to take a look inside & i am glad i did that as what they call a heatsink was just floating loose around inside (By the way i would not call it a heat sink i would say its a pice of tin foil)
Games
This device is not for playing games i always test the same few games on tv sticks & box's like beach buggy blitz etc etc First off i tryed beach buggy blitz set the graphics to high & tried to play,Results was NOT good its like i was playing the game in slow motion totally unplayable, so i turned the graphics back right down to the lowest, that was better but still far from perfect.Asphalt 8 was not playable at all game kept crashing then the stick would lock up.Also there is some wired bug with the sixaxis app even when the controller was set up it would do wired thing like hit the breaks for no reason turn on its own.So at least sixaxis does work but has some bugs to be fixed to make it fully workable.
