Here is my review of the redmi 9 color red sunset
Bought on BG flash sale for 127 euro incl fast shipping with tracking and glass/shipping warrenty

The unit came with EU to UK dongle and took 10days to arrive

This is my first MIUI based phone.. It looks nice with lots of theme options
MIUI settings has some quite advanced settings.. but there are hard to find
Game Turbo, powersave on night times, startup apps manager
Allow location if app is running is nice for example

MIUI Apps seem to have a lot of ad/analystics incl, but you can disable them under settings of the app

Screen looks good (have seen better )
Camera looks good for a cheap phone
IR - this is wierd you can use the phone as a remote.. for my TV , For my Amp, For my blu ray
-It has a app, where you can search brand/model..then downloads remote profile
Gps.. started G-maps.. and 2sec later it new where I lived ( my othere cheap phones where slow, like 5min+ )
-GPS test shows : 35 in view / 16 sats in use / accuracy 2m
Radio works.. good
Audio from speaker.. its jus 1 speaker and it sounds abit dull shalow
audio from 3.5.. sounds good but lacks surround feel
battery life... for 5000mah bit dispointing ( vs my old phone ) must tweak it... it seems
meizu hifi pro.. this is dac.. makes the music more dts surround like working great
sim's.. you can choose what sim is data/internet and for phone calls
support.. i got 2 updates and looking at xda forum MIUI 12 is coming: (device name : lancelot)

Note unit supports 18w fast charging, but the given charger is only 10w
- 5v x 2amp = 10w
from 20% to 80 takes about 1h
Most sites report NFC support.. but BG store and aida64 say No NFC

I bought this phone to replace my old phone.. where the micro usb port came lose

I mainly use.. my phone for:
Music Flac player with meizu hifi pro
Whatsapp messages
Generic phone call's
Gaming/videos..only if im stuck waiting for something

I have one pre-paid sim and one ISP Internet only sim with 2gb fullspeed.. then 56k at no charge

Note:
I use Netguard to stop most apps from connecting to web..
-Under Settings/advanced/system apps... you can block Google play ect
The apps that are allowed.. are filtered/forced to use DNS adblock
-netguard / settings / advanced /traffic filter : then add DNS blocker IP'S
For youtube.. Youtube Vanced
Website.. firefox with no-scripd and Ublock origin
So, I rarly see any ads..

-This phone is looking really amazing ( eye candy ) / got a batt standby almost a week
The updates made the system more responsive
Taking part of many themes / enabling Apps drawer.. made life alot better
Looks like this phone is worth the money.. just for the learning fun/exp alone

I am quite excited by the arrival of the Redmi K30 Ultra with the Snapdragon chasing MTK Dimensity 1000+ SOC.

With phones at around half the price of the equivalent Snapdragon it brings them more into the available budgets of more people and when combined with a USB-C hub, can be not only a pretty powerful Mini PC but also something that would make all the TV boxes (including the Shield) currently available look like tortoises in comparison to the hare when it comes to power.

So if you ever get your hands on one, or something with the Dimensity 1000/800 series it would be interesting to see just how far performance goes when used in a PC/Media Centre style way.

I like the Ring for easy holding and as stand..
It feels quite sturdy and if placed on glass side..the cover protects the glass using its ridge

the bad
There is no protection for the ports /usb-c and headphone ( dust/water)
Its hard platic shell ( it makes phone stirdy, but will it protect a phone )

Its has a rubber based inside layer 1mm
The corners are covert by thicker rubber about 3mm
It feels quite sturdy and if placed on glass side..the cover protects the glass using its ridge

the bad
Black plate Iron.. it just platic and comes off really easy ( 4 rubber pins are holding it in place )
There is no protection for the ports /usb-c and headphone ( dust/water)
Looks like fabrication error.. the microfoon ports are coverd

Conlusion.. Whille the covers look good.. I don't think the will do much protection from water/dust/falling
