Collection of storytellers, singer&songwriters music on freaktab

Here comes the corner for small, medium or maximum thoughtful, important and/or useless stories. It's always a matter of what connect you special to a song and his story.
Feel free to post songs, which make sense for you.

I like to open with Matt Johnson (The The) not for a deep thoughtful reason, only the first I want to hear today and I like his style.

Hey JD, As I have aged, my musical palette has expanded considerably. I guess that happens to most people who appreciate music. I put a few stand-alone internet radios through the house a few years ago. I swear, internet radio is the best thing to happen to music since the string!

Internet radio is a good idea. I have searched over TuneIn again, some weeks ago, but I found nothing what I would like to hear over the day.
Do you have any recommendations. I like radio about music with the story of the musicians included. Not only a music generator program without any background stories.

I like a bunch of stations across most genre. I will eventually(after Christmas/New Years) try to compile a list of stations. There is a station called, "ArtistsFirstRadio", that has a good bit of back-story/commentary, but it mostly covers less well know artists/bands.
I listen to BellyUp4Blues a great deal. The thing I love about IP radio is the diversity of content, genre and from all around the Earth.
I like Tunein, but of course, everything won't be available thru one app.
Many of the big providers, like, RadioTunes(formerly Sky.FM), Streamlicensing and others will have an app for IOS, Android, even Blackberry and others. Some will let you customize your search criteria(location, genre, etc.
Rockradio has a very good classic rock stream. They too have an app.

Please keep in mind, as I said, I have stand-alone IP radios(almost any old smart phone or tablet could do the job) through the house, so I have not used the apps I mentioned. Most stations are available through a browser or WMP however.

Shit my new Tronsmart Draco A80 seem to be dead or is it only a cable thing.

I need a pause. Aah, some fresh air with The Mission.

It is about time to give some space for John Lennon...

...and my Tronsmart Draco is back again. He likes to choose which HDMI-cable is good enough for him.
