Anyone actually use bluetooth with their phone?

A long time ago i came to the realization that bluetooth is pretty wortheless for file transfers and things of the like. When i learned the protocol found a nice home with voice transfer i thought to myself, "good for you bluetooth, good for you". A few days ago i was introduced to a bluetooth headset. While utter disgust in bt had me reluctant i tried the headset out with my iphone. I used the Plantronics M155 headset as my coworker told me i need to "experience my phone life handsfree". Hes the kind of ass hat that walks around with the thing in his ear 24/7. But i washed out the ear gel and stuffed it in my ear, the pairing, was super easy and the connection was very clear, and then it dawned on me that all phones should be made this way....hands free connection to the phone is amazing! The headset was also optimized for iOS which made it pairing and using a lot easier than other option from what i understand....so my question to you all, is do you use bluetooth headsets? I would love to hear the good, the bad and the ugly in regard to your experience with bt headsets...

    GDO

I've used a bt headset on a few phones, but my favorite thing done is hooking up my garage door to my phone with one.

I used a Samsung HM1100, and the BTMate App and it works great. No more losing my GDO.

It took an app found here: http://btmate.com/gdmate.php

You can buy the app and a ready-made headset, for about $50, or mod your own headset with a 2 dollar transistor (I did the latter).

Now I hit a button on my phone and the garage opens. Works like a charm.

Bluetooth is great for accessories. I've used sony ericsons live view watch and it works with their app that lets me track my runs using my phones GPS. It can also control my music and when somebody calls it shows the callers name or number and it allows me to answer or reject the call, it's pretty awesome overall. Bluetooth remote controls and mini keyboards are also great on Android TV boxes and Mini PC's.

Yes.. i do.. but its a secret

I use 'bluetooth proximity' on my work-station
When I come-close to pc.. it id's me.. then I still need hit 1 key on keyb.. to auto log-in
-when I go for coffee.. taking phone with me.. it auto locks screen

I never found a 'headset' that gave goodsound..but it could also be a phone issue..
        -i tried two..longtime ago..
I did thinks about buying a 'bt reciever' then combine it with Fiio and my favorith headphone

But..resellers always forget to state.. how long the 'battery life' is.. on these standalone recievers..
nor do the tell you about the audioquality (even finding user feedback is hard)
So, i don't buy them.. (needs atleasted 12h and great sound off-course)
