Archos Internet Tablet 101, 16GB 10 inch, WiFi, Android Tablet, Black

i hope this is the right section to put this sorry if its wrong,
my grandson as this Archos Internet Tablet 101, 16GB 10 inch, WiFi, Android Tablet, Black can i just put a apk kodi 14 ( xbmc ) or gotham on it or as it got to have something flashed on it or can i use a xbmc on here, ie flumpsters thanks.

ive been trying to put xbmc on a archos 101 internet tablet firmware version 2.4.83 ( android 2.2.1 ). i have updated and unone source will not let me set it. when i try to install xbmc/kodi/gothom/spmc. i get a message cannot process parsing package. am i right in saying that the android 2.2.1 to low for it if so is there a custome rom that i can flah on it please any advice please.
