Archos 97 Carbon

Recently had to replace my Arnova 9 G2 , apparently It is not a big fan of coffee ??? Go figure :-)

Anyway I managed to pick up an Archos 97 Carbon fairly cheap (under £100).

I was hoping to find a custom (debloated) ROM for it.

Any suggestions ??

It seems that you can get a start from arctablet. You have only to take out the apps which you don't like from /system/app with an explorer app.

Use an explorer with root access abillity, but be careful with taking out files - only the *.apk's you know for shure or you get forced closes and the you have to reflash the rom.
Let the system apk's in. When you are not shure about the use of an apk ask again or google for it.

I saw ...

and after the 2nd attempt I conquered :-)

I know the specs on the Archos 97Carbon are almost (if not) the same as my old Arnova 9G2,
but it sure seems to respond much faster :-)
