Arnova 10G2 with 8GB, Stock Firmware needed

    Hi everybody,
i'm new here and i hope somebody can help me with my problem.
    I've bought an Arnova 10G2 Tablet with 8GB on ****. Yes it's
    a 10G2 with 8GB and not a 10bG2 with 8GB. Stock Firmware is
Android 4.03 but this Firmware is not available on Arnova Web-
page. Does anyone have this stock firmware? I've flashed several
custom FW's but no one supports 8GB and the touch works also not
    accurate.

Yes, i've dumped my pad, and i can reinstall my dump, but then the
touch doesn't work anymore. What goes wrong? Can anybody help?

Sorry for my bad english, hope you will understand my problem ;-)

    Chris

we would need to see a copy of your firmware dump . to the best of my knowledge the 10g2 never came out with a stock ics firmware . if you can provide a link to your dump the we may be able to figure out whats going on .

      Hello tattman65,

thanks for your reply. Yes, the initial version of the 10G2 was delivered with Android 2.3, was is mentioned on the box. But there is an additional sticker which says, that ICS is installed. I've linked some pictures of the original box here:

Also i've packed my dumped backup.img and uploaded it here:

      http://www.4shared.com/rar/Fbsc7bcEba/backup.html

Hope this is the right file.Chris

I made a test ROM to try. It's rooted.

One thing I had to do is extract the kernel out of the boot.img and sign it. Maybe that will help, but I'm not sure.

I didn't look to see if there were more apps to debloat from this ROM...I'm headed out the door pretty quick for a basketball game.

            Download

thanks for your effort. I gave it a quick try, but the pad doesn't come out of the boot screen.

OK, I let my kitchen make the parameters automatically. Let me do a manual parameter check and see what went wrong.

Which parameter file did you try?

OK, as I recall, there is only 4gb of NAND on the 10G2...correct?

If that's the case, we can only safely use a 2gb parameter setting, otherwise it won't leave room for the system, or any internal NAND storage.

So I edited this 2gb parameter to replace the one in the ROM kit. I just wasn't thinking about how much NAND was on it.

                        Here you go:

                        Code:
                        FIRMWARE_VER:0.2.3MACHINE_MODEL:AN10G2I
                        MACHINE_ID:007
                        MANUFACTURER:RK29SDK
                        MAGIC: 0x5041524B
                        ATAG: 0x60000800
                        MACHINE: 2929
                        CHECK_MASK: 0x80
                        KERNEL_IMG: 0x60408000
                        CMDLINE: console=ttyS1,115200n8n androidboot.console=ttyS1 init=/init initrd=0x62000000,0x800000 mtdparts=rk29xxnand:0x00002000@0x00002000(misc),0x00004000@0x00004000(kernel),0x00008000@0x00008000(boot),0x00008000@0x00010000(recovery),0x00100000@0x00018000(backup),0x0003a000@0x00118000(cache),0x00400000@0x00152000(userdata),0x00002000@0x00552000(kpanic),0x00102000@0x00554000(system),-@0x00656000(user)
