Official ICS for 10G2 files needed please...

Hi chaps,

Been ages since I last used my 10G2,.. but my boy would like to have a mess around with it,..
I noticed that Arnova have released ICS for the arnova,... (Shocked at that,.. as I thought Arnova had given up on the unit).

I noticed that A post was made by "Chebik" here, stating a few things that i'm slightly confused by.. http://freaktab.com/forum/tablet-sup...or-arnova-10g2

He mentions about updating the original firmware,.... (no problem with that)...
But then he mentions about "For Arnova 10G2 with custom firmware:" but with no link to the firmware.

but he also gives links for :
1. Root http://dfiles.ru/files/xzlpdq6vb . Restart.
2. Google account with GAPPS Installer http://dfiles.ru/files/2ypinp8bp
3. GAPPS for ICS 4.0.3 http://dfiles.ru/files/7izs1mlsa (install Root Explorer, copy files (not directory!) from this archive to similar tablet directory on /system . Restart.

Unfortunately all these links are now dead,.... would anyone have new links for these please.

and could I use these 1:Root 2: Google account 3: Gapps for ICS over the official ICS from arnova.

Any help would be really appreciated chaps...

my friend there never was an "official" ICS for the 10g2 . there has been a couple of devs to come close but I have tried the ICS and it never has really worked that well. it is very laggy and has issues because of the hardware on the tablet . people have tagged the build "official " but it is not . I still have a 10g2 with the "ICS" build on it and don't use it because it's so slow . I believe I still have the files on my PC at home . so tonight when I get there I'll see if so ,will post them for you tomorrow .

I still have the original firmware from arnova that i downloaded when i first got the unit,..... but the new firmware that is available from there site for the 10g2 is much larger than the original. That's why I assumed it has to be a newer updated firmware.

As a matter of fact, the first firmware that i got from arnova was a "must do" firmware update. and as i said, this new one is much larger.

Really wanted it for my youngest so that he could play clash of clans on it... but for that i would need google play services and also possible root. (although i'm not to sure about root).

When i first got it someone from another site posted a zip with the relevant files (apk's) that one installed in a certain order,... then once one cleared the cache, googleplay worked. although it still does work on my 10g2, nothing actually shows up on it.

I don't suppose you know of a good firmware that i could install to get clash of clans working on it do you please... I have a number of old firmware by finless bob,... in fact i may have about 4 or 5 downloaded somewhere.
But because of all the negative reviews, like camera stopped working, this doesn't work anymore,.. touch screen is way off.... it always put me off from installing one.

would much appreciate any info or advice...

only info i can find for coc is from there own site..

To play Clash of Clans on Android, you need a device that meets at least the following specifications:

• 0.5 GB of RAM (1GB or more recommended)
• Android OS 4.0.3 or better
• A screen resolution of 800x480

my friend do not be swayed by the comments for finless firmware , they are all awesome .
the 2.0 pro for the 10g2 is sweet . still running on one of my g2's I believe .

been awhile since I pulled one out . but the hardware on those may not handle that game very well .
that would be the only issue I would say .

all you can do is try , I have copies of the finless firmware at home .
