    Arnova 7 G3 is ROOTED out of the Box!!!!!

    Had this lovely tablet less than three days and messed with it alot....

    during this messing around I installed a few apps that allow more functions when rooted... And to my delight I had these functions without notifications.... One or two apps complained about busybox so I updated busybox and hey presto they WORKED!!! Tried superuser but didn't so I updated binaries and now you get full notifications etc...

    This dang nice tablet was fully rooted from the moment it left the factory!!!!!!

      managed to get market 3.4.6 and maps 6.70 running.but ran in to is issues with later versions.Market would hang at Loading and would get a"google android has stopped working message" maps6.80 gives a no network error..gmail gives same message as latest market...

        Let me give you some ICS market files I know work on ICS.

        Realize some of them you have to COPY to /system/app and not try to install them. In fact all of them should go into /system/app.

        Hang tight I will have them up in a few minutes.

          OK so here is the package that I know works on ICS ROMs I have made.

          I think if you do this exactly it will work

          1) Get a ROOT file explorer like ES file exporer or Root Explorer. Now open up /system and you need to set it to RW (read write). By default your system will probably be mounted as RO. If your file explorer wont mount it as RW let me know and I can tell you what to type in a terminal emulator to remount it as RW.

          2) Upzip all these files to a folder on your SDcard

          3) Now using the root file manager copy ALL of these APK's into /system/app

          4) Reboot.

          Here are tge ICS Google Play files:

            hmmmm issue I have is that it may screw up the rom!!!!

              Risk you take if your going to PLAY before having a stock ROM

              However if you get ADB up and can talk to the Tab, you can go in and remove those files should they cause it not to boot.

                nope now getting
                1) no market connection...just says network error
                2)unfortunately,android system has stopped working
                3GooglePartnerSetup has stopped working

                  Do a data factory reset! When you copy in the APK to /system/app you must do this. Sorry forgot to tell you.

                      hey have you tried my method from the yarvik topic here on freaktab.
                      this is for ics.
                      maybe this works for you too.
                      you must use these permissions or it will not work. (force close etc. ...)
