    Arnova 9G2 ICS ROM in the house!!!!!

    OK guys... big thanks to the Italian forum and a user dump of this ROM and for FreakTab user fillab for uploading it so I could get it. The sharing site the Italian forum user put it on was so unreliable I could not download it.

    I have successfully taken the ROM apart just now! It was a pain too as none of my tools worked on it without some tweaks.

    Anyway for sure expect a flahsable 9G2 ICS Stock ROM today. Then later I will mod it with my tweaks for you all

    Then after that... I will see if I can somehow port this to other Arnova tablets

        Guys good news.... I can boot this thing on my 10G2. The screen is totally jacked up but I can see it enough to see it does look like ICS and boots to a lock screen calibration!


        Stay tuned... I WILL have a 9G2 Stock ROM flash kit up in about 30 minutes!

        As for porting... I will work on that next!

          I have looked at this ROM now in linux and it is very different.

          system.img is already EXT3 file system. Thank god no more CramFS!
          However it is mounted as RO and is not rooted.

          So once I get the stock ROM up, I will make a rooted ROM ASAP!

            well that's good news will look forward to a port cant wait for your GingerComb though but full ICS on the 10g2 would be amazing

              I am uploading the stock 9G2 ICS ROM now!

              boot.img is in a different format but I have it figured out. I will be doing a full ROOT of this ROM today!

              So I will have this rooted in about an hour!

                OK I have successfully rooted this ROM. ADB shows full root

                The stock unrooted ROM will be up in a few minutes. Watch for the post soon.

                Also this ROM does not have Google Play or any Google apps installed. I will do a 1.0 rooted ROM first followed by a Google Play ROM shortly after.
