    Holy COW! Playing around I got CM7 to work!

    I was trying all kinds fo different things today to see if I can get ICS on the 10G2, and one of them was a CM7 download. I actually got it to boot on the Arnova 10G2. First boot took 15 minutes to load so I thought it was a brick but I left to take a phone call and LOW AND BEHOLD... it worked!

    Some stuff does not work (wifi, etc) and I know how to fix that..... but..... it does work!

    However, I really want to get a ICS port working so not sure I want to spend time on it.
    Anyone else want to try?

    I always thought that the CM7 ROM is Gingerbread-based vs. CM9 being ICS-based?

      Yes CM7 is GB based and 9 is ICS based. Thats why I got CM7 to work on the Arnova kernel!

        Do you think it will be possible to get the cm9 on the 9G2?

            Great job Bob! Maybe we could have a lot more to tweak with a CM7, rather than a "stock" GB
            Maybe even greater than ICS
            Good job keep going, and ask me if my linux skills can help.

              Personally, I prefer Honeycomb on the tablet to ICS. Don't get me wrong, I love ICS on my phone, but Honeycomb just feels better on a tablet.

              Now, getting Cyanogen 9 on the 10 G2 would be a real accomplishment. Of course, if we only had that source code....

                Great work Bob. Can you please post a link for the download. There are ICS themes floating around for CM7. I would like them on 10 G2

                  Just because I got it to boot does not mean it is ready for a prime time ROM. Wifi and other items do not work so I would have to work on that. I have a few ROMs to root right now so I will look more into this later.

                      Yours roms are great. but i am having trouble with both of them the 1.5 and 2.1 on 1.5 alot of apps force or dont work that i download and on 2.1 what i found does not work is the video camera.. you can take a picture but not take video. i am on arnova 10 g2 not philly
