Arnova 10 G2 Custom ROM by Finless Version 1.5

    Well guess what!

    Google updated some apps today and yesterday

    Google Currents will not work on this ROM. I found I needed a library I did not have in the ROM.
    Also Google Maps is now upated as well from my APP Injector!

    So I am making a quick ROM update to solve these issues. If you dont care about updating Google Maps from the Market and don't want Google Currents, then no need to reflash my ROM. However the missing library may mess you up on other google stuff. I just do not know. Google Currents was the only thing I found to be a problem.

    I will have version 1.5a up in about 30 minutes.

      New rom flashed, bootup speed just as on the video - glad to see the bid wasn't speeded up!
      AppInjector also working perfectly...

      A couple of issues -
      Settings / About Device / Status - error message 'The application Settings (process.com.android.settings' has stopped unexpectedly.
      Same issue when accessing 'Wireless & Network settings / Mobile Networks so 3g stick not currently working.

        Just because we turned on all the hidden settings does not mean they will work. MObile networks is on of them. It is not a phone. But your 3G Arnova stick should still work? But remember this is a update kernel from Arnova so I hope they did not take a step back and break it!

        I will have to look into device status as that use to work on 1.4.

          ROM 1.5a is now up

          OK the ROM download on the first post here is now updated to 1.5a Read the first post the explains why and what it is but here is the quick version.

                many thanks Bob, another great ROM, a breeze to install as ever. much faster, and more available memory vs 1.4 (seen via memory booster). Only issue is that SEVEN email for android no longer will install. SEVEN withdrew support for android devices a while ago (who knows why!!), so previously i have been running an older version. its a shame, but ill use K9 instead - which to be honest isnt as good as SEVEN, but if thats the only sacrifice im happy to make it :-)

                no issues with force closing on status or elsewhere (apart from phone specific options as expected)

                  Yes I also get the error and FC as the only option when I do Settings --> About Device --> Status

                  All the rest of the options in Settings --> About Device work, only Status gives the FC.
