Hello Finless

I'm the owner of Cube U30GT. This tablet is RK3066 with similar specs as your Yuandao N101.

I've read some of your post about Rokchip firmware and was able to extract firmware images from official update (including recovery.img).

I was looking for porting CWM to Cube U30GT but found it's not well documented how to do it without sources (I know that must be possible having original Cube's recovery.img -based on stock recovery with additional script for supporting rockchip image format-). Do you think that It should be possible to port your CWM Recovery to Cube U30GT?

I'm also trying to update tablet using Linux. I modded rkflashtool from lamegopinto git (https://github.com/lamegopinto/rk2918tools) to support RK3066 (device id 0x2207, 0x290a). I tried to update only system.img specifiying address based on parameter file extracted form ROM (0x00100000@0x00354000(system)). Flash image completed without error but tablet did not boot again after that (I also tried booting in recovery mode, wipe cache and reset data but, in the end, had to update using RKBatchTools on windows to bring it back to live). Do you know If I "must" flash anything else than system.img in order to complete an update?

The file he sent me says Android 4.1 so yes it will be this.

I'm not currently using stock ROM (never installed rally). The seller I buyed from installed Evollution Prime 1.0.0 (I don't 'know if I can post links to other forums here) before sending it to me. Then I installed BudaDroid 0.0.2 (same apply here). So I can,t tell you right know. The only I can say without reinstalling is if any is present in BudaDroid 0.0.2. But I can install stock ROM if you want and tell you exactly. Just tell me I you need it :-)

I think this has to be there as you have to have some kind of file browser to install apps from sdcard etc?

GmsCore, so this is Google Play Store? What use to be called Vending.apk on 4.0.4?

Odd that Google Ears can't be removed? Must be integrated into the system.

One last thing.... Full EXT4 support or not?

My Yuandao kernel supports full EXT4. The Arnova 10b G3 does not. When I say full I mean EXT4 journaling.
So I am going to go full EXT4 format on system.img. This may mean the first ROM is a brick if the kernel does not support journaling. If it is a brick, no worries. I will turn right around and make it EXT4 without journaling which I know will work.

So be prepared for that please.

whats the benifits of ext4 and if required why not but i think not needed if not nessary to finction smoothly.
can we get beat audio file installed as well flash11.

The system is already EXT4 BUT we need to know which style!!! SO that is what we have to find first.

As for putting other APPs in or flash, we can do this after the initial BETA1 testing to get CLockWork setup.

GmsCore, It's not old vending.apk. I don't know exactly wat it is but old vending.apk is Phonesky.apk
Ok sorry, Google Ears can be removed. I mean It wasn't chenesse bloatware. It's part of new gapps :-P
