How to root it:

I managed to root it.

The ADB shell already has root rights, so I didn't even need an exploit.
I don't know if the ADB shell has root from the beginning, because I reflashed the tablet once with the vendor image.

Nevertheless, I followed this tutorial, and now I have root:

This is a very good tablet, the new Mediatek SOC is very fast, and has a low power consumption.
I can watch videos for 6 hours, which isn't bad for a low cost china tablet.
Also every game I've tested so far runs smoothly.
The SOC has inbuilt GPS and bluetooth 4.0, and both run just fine.

The tablet came only with a micro USB cable, but over USB it charges very slowly, and can barely maintain the battery level while using it. I recommend buying a wall charger with 2.5mm plug.
