Not sure what your trying to do but sounds like you want ADB. ADB interface gives you access to the /system (or whatever) and you can push files etc.

The only way to dump your parition images from the tablet is ADB or in Lunix RKDump.

Tested: rkdump not work on partition ext4 , but I make dump from terminal:
This is exactly what I wantdd if=/dev/block/mtdblock8 of=/sdcard/system.img
