If u flashed your Next7g12-8g aka Next7se from here:

and now have wifi issues please post your serial numbers so ShaunMT can determine when the adapter changed. Its one step closer to a fix.

And if you have not flashed and have wifi working, a dump of your rom is needed.

Build.prop

I have two 7p12-8g with july build dates. One has stock untouched rom but rooted and the other is rooted and I flashed the Stock rom from this site and im having wifi issues. I've compared the build.props side by side and there are a few things missing. So i added the ones that were missing and it didnt make a difference as far as wifi goes. There are 14 channels under the wifi. I dont enough experience to know what is nessesary.
I did a rom dump on the good one and sent it to Shaunmt. He said that he was working it two days ago. let me know if I can help in any way.

Is your build date in the build.prop June or July? I have a 6/18/13 build date ROM that I think will fix the wifi issues, but if you have a working july build date, that might offer some improvements over the june one.

Use a build prop editor from the play store to check the date in the build.prop. Some tablets have a ROM with an earlier build date that the tablet's manufacture date. Makes sense if the ROM hasn't been updated but they are still making tablets.

The build date is Tue Jun 18 14:31:16 cst2013...
I can sign up but i looked and there was already some other people with the same build date and version as mine. Didnt think there should be two of the same versions.

Cool. I though yours was the only good one I received.

Feel free to signup if willing. I think you were the only person who successfully provided a good ROM dump!

Just because they signed up, doesn't mean I'll select them for testing... but at least some of them stopped bugging me for test files. A lot of them didn't even provide all the info I asked for...

I purchased a tablet new from The Warehouse in New Zealand and it had this problem and returned it.

They said it was a software problem with the tablets and they has a bad batch with the same issue to be returned to the manufacturer.

The older ROMs have nearly identical build.prop files, with no significant changes. I'm probably going to have to rip the boot images open to determine what changed.
