Pipo M5 touch screen not working after upgrade to RileyROM 1.1

    Hello all !
I've followed the installation guide for this upgrade

I've installed the Pipo M5 Max RileyROM 1.1 3g version, but I have problems: after the reboot, the touch screen is not responsive. Otherwise, I can use the the tablet with an external mouse.
I looks like this ROM has damaged the touch screen drivers.
I've searched the forum and I found similar issue with other PIPO ROMs:
http://freaktab.com/forum/tablet-sup...n-not-working; the solution was to install a new version of ROM (RileyRom v2.3.), but this is for M9 not for M5.

Any ideas how can I solve this ?

    Thank you.

    Hi ,

maybe your M5 has another Display inside , Pipo not always using the same spare Parts in there

Devices , did you try to go back to Stockrom ??? ,

you can try to flash the M9 Rom with your "resource.img & "kernel.img" to make it compatible .

But no Guarantee that it really fits , but this often is done with Pipo Roms and Devices .

    I had a M9Pro , it was my first China Tablet .

good luck / greetings / gefattern

      Hi !
I've tried the stock ROM from pipo website: http://www.pipo.cn/En/index.php?m=Ab...an_show&id=125, both english version and chinese but no luck.
Maybe the touch screen is physically dead but I found it hard to believe it, it's just too much of a coincidence.
I'll try your suggestion to use and M9 upgrade with resources and kernel from M5. What I have to lose, it's an old tablet.
      Thank you.
