No. The '89' in model number refers to 8.9" screen. m8hd is 10.1 inc.

And m8hd has AHVA svreen. Lg doesnt produce this type of screen. Probably au optronics or hydis.

Maybe m9 pro and m8hd uses same screen.

I just tested with b101UANO (10.1 AVHA screen) and no display.

Maybe someone with an M7pro can test the kernel in the first post and see if it boots!

THe ld089Wu01 def file looks like a bit of a frankenstein!

THe physical dimensions in the file are:

#define LCD_WIDTH 217//203 //uint mm the lenth of lcd active area
#define LCD_HEIGHT 135

which match the B101UANO definitions

M7pro dimensions are 218x161 whilst M8HD is 240x172. Curious

Ok - Randy has given me the sources - full SDK including kernel. Unfortunately (1) I don't have enough space for the full SDK due to the RK3288 one being massive (2) I don't do ROMs!

However, I have the kernel source loaded up and compiling. I've got my M8HD on charge but if anyone has an M8HD available they may want to test before I do. I'll upload as soon as it is built.

The code base I'm compiling is for a LD089WU01 1920x1200 mipi dsi LCD. Hope that's the M8HD!

How would you imagine we can collaborate on same sources for different devices ?

Right now we have the sources for the M8HD. I'm putting together a team of developers for each of the tablets, so hopefully soon we can start making progress.

This makes a lot of sense. Following my experience with the U8 I view community support like yours as an essential requisite for ordering a Chinese tablet.
