galaxy tab2 10.1

alright lets start a thread for the galaxy tab 2 10.1 everyone can post here with different build numbers and what not
so snakekiller and myself have been working on a few things for this tab since i got it. and now we have
compiled a good bit of info on this bad boy.
so first off here is a link to stock firmwares .

i think i have found a way for cleaning up the stock rom .
if you download the stock rom , its in a tar.md5 file
you can extract it on linux .
then you have all the img files .
boot,system,cache etc.
if you mount the system on linux and remove all the bloat ware.
and after that open the downloaded stock rom tar.md5 file again(just open with 7zip,not extract it).
and replace the cleaning Rom with the original.
im curious if odin will flash that file

ithink the tab would be even faster if we got rid of some of the bloat .

i mean most of the stock apps in system you can just delete them ya know i've already got rid of some of the bull i never use .

ok if anyone needs to get a system.img from there galaxy tab here is what i done

make sure you have android sdk installed and the proper java it will tell you if you don't .

root your tablet from the link i posted in this thread.

plug your tab into your pc and turn on your usb .

bring up the command window

type in cd \program files\android\android-sdk\platform tools hit enter.

type in adb.exe shell hit enter.

you'll see shell@android:/ $

at the $ type su hit enter.

you'll see shell@android:/#

at the # type

dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9 of=/sdcard/system.img hit enter.

this line should then repeat itself

now wait a couple of minutes and you will see some line of numbers coming up
like

2867200+0 records in
2867200+0 records out
1468006400 bytes transferred in 385.490 sec.

now you should have on your sd card a file that is your system.img

this worked on my tab galaxy tab 2 10.1 gt-p5113 p5113UEBLH3

ok i looked quick to the extracted files every img is in raw format so no normal img format.
i do it the other way.
i make a cwm zip with the original boot.img .and the system.img you uploaded.
can you send me your boot.img from your cwm backup to , please.
than i make tomorrow your debloated stock rom.
just tell me what must remove ok .
its a simply test.
if this works ill try to modified for you.
