I tried uploading the TX6version.png (.png extension, 290KB) which is in this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dnL...w?usp=drivesdk , and I still got "Error Uploading Image" as shown in the screen shot here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h03hesvkFnMuwolTxzzfPXWLLuW5r6Wd/view?usp=drivesdk
Any idea where the problem can be.

      1. Where can I get the Armbian images?
      2. Can Windows PhoenixCard app be used to burn on SDvard or USB pendrive? If not which Windows app can then be used?
      3. What cautious steps shoud I look out when installing Armbian?

      Thanks in advance.
Visit the Ambian website and forum for more info.

Also can find Armbian development builds made for TX6 by balbes150 here on freaktab (balbes150 is also on Armbian forum) : https://forum.freaktab.com/forum/tv-...177#post813177

Armbian can use the Balena Etcher program to make the bootable SDcards, Etcher has a Windows version downloadable from there official page.

You REFORMATTED the Image? Not just change the extension?

          Thanks. I'm testing now with:
          postimages: https://postimg.cc/7G11Y6wq
          imgbb: https://ibb.co/NNj490t

          Working!
          Thanks again

No, I didn't reformat and neither did I rename to .png. It was the original format captured by TX6's camera icon of navigation bar at the bottom of the screen shown by the red arrow here: https://ibb.co/QQ4mXQf

                Hi RiCkLaR_atvX
As you can see from this screenshot https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dnL...w?usp=drivesdk that my kernel version is 2020.0515, but the latest version posted in this thread as well as that in https://androidpctv.com/?s=tx6
, is 2019.0722, almost one year old.

                1. Why is that there isn't any more update since 2019.0722?
                2. My current version 2020.0515 could be an OTA version perhaps, but where can I find the last flash image version from which the chain of OTAs are updated up to 2020.0515?

And this method does not touch any of the devices internal storage, so I can test out the various builds for the TX6 / Allwinner H6 without the risk of bricking the device or wiping the current configuration.

                  Cheers
                  Hi Brent Norton

Since your are able to boot tx6 firmware on SDcard, can you access the internal memory root directory to copy and paste file?

Btw, which version of TX6 firmware that you have successfully installed on SDcard and booted from there?

Have you tried installing it on USB pendrive and boot from the drive?

Thank in advance for sharing your experience..

                    Hi,
I have connected a capacitive touch screen to my Tanix TX6 but it works as single point touch device only. I have test the monitor on other Android devices and it works fine, so the TX6 has probably problem to recognize it.
I have read that some TV Boxes have not built in the hid-multitouch.ko module, so I found an hid-multitouch.ko file and used the app Android Module Loader to load it to the TV Box but even after that the problem remains the same.

My TX6 rom build No is 20190722
Do you have any idea how I could resolve that problem?

Might also need the "Permission File" located in /vendor/etc/permissions/
                      Example:
                      Code:
                      android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct.xml
                      android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.jazzhand.xml
                      android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml

The file android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml is there, but it doesn't help.

The new chip has just as many bugs in Android 10 OS as the Android 9 OS on the old TX6. So if you are going to update newer TVbox, abandon Allwinner CPU boxes and get Amlogic S922X or S905X3.

Yes, you should be able to access the eMMC as a secondary drive in Linux and that cmd should work, don't forget to set file permissions, and maybe possibly running over ADB this cmd$ ./system/bin/su install
Worth a shot. And YES Armbian can be installed and ran from an SDcard for the TX6, never tried editing the eMMC form Armbian myself but good luck!
Hey RiCkLaR_atvX so my box aeromedia Nanomax is a h6, after installing aida64 and checking it out the thermals were shocking, red zone all the way . I melted a hole in the bottom directly above the soc, installed this Pi fan for cooling and it's dropped it down to 32 degrees which is icy cold in comparison. What is it with these devices?

                          Regards

Share a picture of the box with RaspberryPi fan? I just have a huge 80mm computer usb fan on top of my H6 box and stays under 75*C even under heavy load.

Well too much things to list, lol, but I still like the TX6-H6. One thing to note is the kernel really should be upgraded to mainline linux upstream, which supports the CPU extensively, but the current Android kernel currently in these boxes is a mess with proprietary blob hacks to get it to function semi-stable, and the kernel doesn't handle all chip properties correctly like correct usage of ram, etc., etc.

Yeah bro for sure... Just pissed me off how much overheat, just melted a hole in casing and nail clipped it into a square, then used b7000 phonescreen glue to bond it, attached USB plug and powered fan from box USB, will wire it internal later.
