      1. You need to copy the update.zip on a USB-Stick because the sdcard is not recognized as such (but the stick). Root of the stick is nothing special. Just copy the file on an empty stick
      2. Reboot into recovery as mentioned before. With the toothpick trick, while the USB Stick is in the lower USB 2 Port !!!
      3. Go on "Apply update from SD-Card"
      4. Take the first entry (for me it was the needed USB Stick)
      5. You will see the update.zip
      6. Choose this file and let it install
      7. You will have to wait some minutes. The box reboots and will reboot into system (about 7-8 minutes or so)
      8. i forgot

      Happy flashing..

Dear friend i transferred the update zip file to a empty USB stick.
Then i inserted the USB stick to the lower USB 2 port
I pressed the tooth pick in the reset button and inserted the power cord to go to recovery mode
I could not able to open the recovery mode even i waited long press with tooth pick and power plug insertion. i saw only TX6S logo
in the TV screen. I tried serveral times tooth prick press with USB stick inside and then power plug insertion then
recovery mode is not starting at all. If it goes to recovery mode then i can apply update from USB stick but
i could not able to reach that stage. Please help

Could you feel a light klick when you pressed the tooth Pick? It's a little tricky to hold this down enough time after connect the power.

I use always a paperclip, more stable as wooden tooth Pick. But must use carefully and soft pressing.

Dear Tombraga Thank you for the input. I will try and give my feedback. If you have any other trick for opening recovery mode please mention.

                  1. First of all, test this without anything plugged in. No power, no usb stick, nothing. You should feel the click (and hear it). Test and learn how to hold the paperclip / needle or whatever you use for it for a while
                  2. After managing this fuc**ng toothpick trick and how to hold it, put the usb stick in your box.
                  3. Put the toothpick in and hold it
                  4. Plug in the power
                  5. Hold the toothpick / needle...you will have to wait until the recovery is shown while holding the toothpick (7 - 8 seconds or so)

If this all not works for you, your recovery is broken also (whyever ?!?!?!) or you should let a friend of you, who is technically experienced than you do this...

                      Dear friend
No luck at all. I tried the paper clip to press. I can feel the clicking ( i heard it). After following this procedure recovery mode does not start. As you mentioned my box recovery also broken it seems. This TX6S Box is unusable now.........

Sorry to hear it, but perhaps you should wait untill anybody creates a TWRP Recovery for the TX6s. After you should have the chance to boot via sdcard into TWRP and flash the update.zip.

If you have a knowing person in your neighborhood you could try to shorten the nand. But please... this is very dangerous for your box and should be done by a specialist. I had same problems with a TX3 and a friend solved the problem. Here is an image what and where he shortened the nand.

Dear Friend, Thank you for your care and the solutions given for my Box problem. I will wait for a TWRP recovery for TX6s. For shorten the nand i do not have a known specialist who can do this. I really appreciate your reply on this.
