    [ROM]Elektricity ROM for the MK823

    Introducing Elektricity ROM for the MK823!

    New in 0.4 (version starts at 0.4 based on other similar Allwinner devices):
    • Initial release for the MK823
    • Incorporated speed tweaks from all the previous Polaroid Elektricity ROMs for the Polaroid tablets.


    Features:
    • Based on latest MK823 stock
    • Rooted
    • Latest Google Play installed by default.
    • Busybox updated to latest version
    • init.d support by default
    • Scripts for speed added
    • Petrus' 'Reboot' application. Features:
      • Reboot
      • Power Off
      • Reboot into CWM recovery

    Installation instructions:
    Elektricity ROM MK823 flashing instructions:
    • Install PhoenixSuite if you have not already done so (Drivers should install)
    • Start PhoeninxSuite with admin rights.
    • Remove stick from box (see document link with instructions below)
    • Connect micro-USB port/cable to power-source (next to the big USB2.0 port).
    • Connect the second micro-USB port/cable to PC (in the document it iss number 3)
    • Wait until Windows sees the device-give the pc some time(It is possible a dialog box will appear for drivers, but hopefully not! If so, there are drivers in the install directory if needed).
    • PhoenixSuite should load, displaying the current version, kernel version, etc.
    • At this point you can now upgrade to elektricity ROM. Load the .img file. It is advised to use the "Format + Upgrade" option.

    PLEASE DO NOT REPORT PROBLEMS IN THIS THREAD until you've confirmed you followed the above instructions EXACTLY. Please don't report the problem in this thread until you've tried a factory image install first to see if that cures the problem.
