NEW - TWRP Recovery for Tronsmart Draco

    OK folks..... TWRP Recovery BABY!

This is what is in the readme in the ZIP but I am posting it here as well.

TWRP Recovery for the Tronsmart Draco Meta All WInner A80

This TWRP can be installed on the stock Draco ROM because it is rooted.
It will also install on my Finless ROM.
This TWRP may also work on other All Winner A80 devices.
It's only been tested on the Tronsmart Draco.

Special thanks to FreakTab developer Abdul_pt for making this recovery.
He did it in the dark without having this device. Thanks Abdul!
But I did have to fix two things when I tested. I fixed:
Mount for External_SD and USB Memory sticks. Those now work.

Now I also added another feature:

Back up, Restore, Wipe "All NAND" partition.
    What is this you ask?
On this box the internal SD (also called Internal Storage) is mounted in /data/media/0
Thus you cannot back up internal SD. There was no option to do so.
Now backing up "All NAND" will back up both /data and internal SD.
It basically backs up ALL of the NAND Data area.

    ______________________________________

    IMPORTANT NOTE and usage tips!
If your going to use "ALL NAND" you must unmount Data.
Go into the mounts menu and uncheck Data and check ALL NAND.
If you do not do this before a restore of All NAND you will get an error.
It backs up fine with both Data and All NAND ar mounted and checked but it will not restore if Data is mounted.
If you use All NAND, then there is no reason to also check Data during backup. All NAND backs that up as well.
If you do select All NAND and Data in the backup selection, you are wasting space. BUT you can in fact backup both.

In the wipe menu, internal SD is called Internal Storage.
Wiping Internal Storage will only erase Internal SD not all Data.

After TWRP is installed the only way to get to TWRP recovery is using the reboot APP.
My Finless ROM comes with this APP. Stock ROM does not so it is provided in this zip.
Install it and run it. Agree to superuser prompt. Click reboot recovery.
The system will reboot into TWRP.

    _______________________________

    Installation:
Well because the stock recovery is basically BRAIN DEAD, I could not make a update.zip to install this.
Thus it needs to be installed this way.

    Installing TWRP.img from Internal SD:
    1) Get from the Play Store Android Terminal Emulator.
    2) Copy the file twrp.img to internal SD.
    3) Run the terminal emulator APP.
    4) type su
    5) Agree to the super user prompt
    6) Now type: dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/by-name/recovery
The terminal will do it's thing and should come back with no errors.
    TWRP is now installed.

Installing TWRP.img from External SD card:
    1) Get from the Play Store Android Terminal Emulator.
    2) Copy the file twrp.img to External SD using your PC.
    3) Run the terminal emulator APP.
    4) type su
    5) Agree to the super user prompt
    6) Now type: dd if=/storage/extsd/twrp.img of=/dev/block/by-name/recovery
The terminal will do it's thing and should come back with no errors.
    TWRP is now installed.

Then you did not do it right or you have a recovery on sdcard!

            Trust it works!

You could've misunderstood my message .
              1) I use your reboot app to reboot to recovery. That works
              2) so now, I'm in TWRP (on internal storage )
              3) I click on reboot button. I have 3 choices : system , power off or recovery.
              4) I click recovery . That reboots back to system!

Yep your right... But if your in recovery, why reboot to recovery?

Anyway I will look into that.

I'm interested in testing and finding bugs

If TWRP decides to put that recover option there, they should know some occasions we might need it!

BTW, I use your development of TWRP to flash back and forth stock rom and your betas, very easy and practical !!!

This may be the world's dumbest question but does TWRP Recovery work for Linux?

I have 2 USB keys: Kingston 16g and Lexar 64g. TWRP can not mount the 64 g one. Is there a limit on USB key capacity recognized by TWRP ?

Maximum USB key capacity recognized by TWRP is 32g.

Recovery only recognizes FAT32 file systems. Maximum size that FAT32 supports for SDcard format is 32GB. A 64GB card is formatted extFAT. Recovery wont work with that YET.

TWRP recognizes other USB ports as well, not only otg USB port.
