FYI I now know how to easily write a new config.fex file.

Anyone want to try a super config.fex that will clock DDR to max allowed? Or do we have good enough?

I am also going to start playing with CPU overclocking if anyone is interested?

Dinner time so it will be tomorrow afternoon. Still testing using TWRP but I also found yet another way within Android
Not sure I like it though as I found you can replace my wonderful bootlogo

But I need to test if replacing just the file will be honored on a reboot. That is what I do not know.

Anyone know of a APP that will show you detailed info about clocks in the system? Not just CPU clocks but DDR, NAND, etc? I need to know if it actually takes.

Good job Bob, you given to those peoples that owned A80, a Christmas gift, even for the fabricant.
I think its good idea to get more, so Bob what about the GPU,can you get more juice.
Definitely allwinner is making you work,good because I like allwinner A80 SoC.so the benchmarks can be true,but the GPU test doesn't show good result.

I just installed Netflix and tried it. No lines for me at all. Only issue I have is using a mouse I cannot keep the Netflix control bars on the screen long enough to pause etc.... I have seen this issue before. It's with the hiding of the bottom bar. Something to look at fixing next ROM.

Here are the sSettingsAssist and SettingsProvider APKs. These are from the stock Draco ROM.

Use ES file explorer and copy them into priv-app replacing what is there. Remember to set permissions so they match everything else in priv-app.

Let me know if this solves the hardware keyboard issue.

I used the qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 to hide (thanks Zahir) did not help at this stage.

Thought it might have been interference at first, all WiFi device off ,run direct to TV no switch box, even changed from 5g to 2.4 still there.
OK on solution.


Box does run a little warmer I find to touch than previous Rom

There is nothing in config that shows anything with the GPU. Pretty sure that is not going to be controlled by that or possibly even the kernel! Isn't the GPU proprietary? So might be compiled on it's own.

So the stock Draco ROM doesn't have that issue?
For sure you remember that it does or doesn't?
If so, I will have to dig a little deeper but that leaves me stumped.... Maybe the settings.jar in Framework is the issue... Hmmmmm...

Further testing with Netflix....
I changed to Original Build.prop

Under Developer Options
Hardware Accelerated Rendering

Force 4x MSAA
Disable HW overlays
Both checked........

Netflix lost those Horizontal lines as per post #31

Weird I don't get that!

Enable dev mode go into settings-about and tap a bunch of times on the build version. This is how its done on many android is.

Because of TWRP:
It doesn't effect the SD card flash method?
Will I lose factory reset (at setting / backup ...)?
@Finless it would be nice if you also build an update to get back the original recocery

USB 3 does not work

Looks promising however it was so unfortunate that it does not detect my USB 3 drive after flashed. Both Finless Rom v1.0 & stock firmware were able to detect my USB 3 drive without issue. Any chance to get this fixed Bob?

Could you test if Dolphin browser works with flash player under this rom because it does under stock rom. Thanks.
