Is there a new board out for these boxes, just received a second one tried to flash with finless 1.7 like my original and it appears to have bricked it, no blue light on the front and no display on TV?

Best case they produce a compatible pcb...

Hi, I have same M8 as you which I posted pic, from what I understand there should be 2 green marker dots on chips, I also posted pic under clone thread but post pic again so you can see, I hope this helps you...

PS just noticed your M8 is totally different from mine, I'll take a better detailed pic for you and others to see, I bought mine when M8 1st came out...

Yes, better picture will be highly welcome...
But you have another pcb... You got the original one printed with 'M9&M8_V0.92'... and I think that's the imported information/indication and not the green dot...

Hi all, I've just opened up my M8 box and written on the board is;

H8&M8 V2_0
20140708

it's got four Samsung chips.

Thats a Clone box ... (according to the Main Manufacturers ) $10-$12 cheaper than the proper M8N boxes (V1)...
Cheaper and lower quality... (smaller caps etc.)

BUT

I've had one of those boards - and you should be good to go with any of the custom roms for the square M8 - including the beta Linux build from Stane.

But the blue LED will stay on after power down. Always. Eternally...

Have one like it too. Tried to install Finless 1,8 and it stops at splash screen...Problem is i dont have original firmware to recover it ...

I buy a clone m8. And when i was loading a new firmware, it brick. The blue light turn off when power on. My device is out of order. Is anybody know how can i unbrick this. Toothpick method isnt work. This device hasnt OTG.
