H8&M8 V2_0 What have I been sold ???

Hi all, I've just opened up my M8 box and written on the board is;

H8&M8 V2_0
20140708

it's got four Samsung chips.

Thats a Clone box ... (according to the Main Manufacturers ) $10-$12 cheaper than the proper M8N boxes (V1)...
Cheaper and lower quality... (smaller caps etc.)

This might be fully compatible but again there is a chance to brick your box ...

Its up to you to try Custom Fws

I've had one of those boards - and you should be good to go with any of the custom roms for the square M8 - including the beta Linux build from Stane.

But the blue LED will stay on after power down. Always. Eternally...

I have installed on my board AMLinux without incident. My circuit board reads H8&M8 V2_0 20140708

I'm finding that this H8&M8 V2_0 board is a regular trouper. It responds beautifully to any rom I throw at it. 5ghz wif-fi works very well, and I'm getting excellent Ethernet speeds. The only downside is that blue led - nothing kills it except pulling the cord.
