have ported and tweaked M8N rom to work on original m8 the rom build is 20140901.

This is for the following devices:
- EM8
- M8
- TM8
- M8N (need to flash the new remote file if square remote) 2gb, 8gb rom ap6330

Do a factory reset after flash

My app- WakeMe Scottie open click on start back out of the app and it should fix your sleep/wake up issues if you have power failure then you will need to redo the steps.
Next release I will make it auto start service
Also give it time it will preinstall few apps 5 to 10 minutes, run aptiode to confirm you have upto date apps * don’t update this app unless you want to read chinese.

Instructions

Extract onto sd or usb thumb stick, flash either via tooth pick or andriod ui, allow box to stand for 2min so it loads everything and configs

Very nice!

I've been running this ROM on my M8 clone for 3 hours this (early) morning:

- installs and boots up without a hitch (cute logo..)
- Launcher (and XBMC) menus are as snappy as Stane's build. The Rom is very quick
- no issues with wifi so far.
- Ethernet dropped connection (after I switched my TV to another input for 10 minutes). Will test further.
-XBMC runs beautifully (tested on 1080p Transformer Extinction) with no sign of interlacing so far
- 4K YouTube videos play like butter (tested on Shibuya 4k and Assassins Parkour)
- remote powers box on/off with no issues
- PlayStore working with no issues
- excellent throughput moving files from and to external SD and LAN.

Ethernet not as fast as LifeForce or Finless - but still, ample speed on tap (28 mbps)

We have a new winner - out of the blue. Thank you, JM, if Ethernet stays up consistently, this is my daily driver.

slow download works ok for me , unless it geo blocked?

to reupload this rom would take me 2hrs maybe zhair with fast broadband can or anyone else who downloaded.

and thank you Finless still learning and by far less superior from you and leolas, oman, stane,lifeforce, weasser.

I've mirrored the file over at Mega. Hope that helps. Am still not sure whether Ethernet holds up or not - I've experienced a couple more drop-outs. However, I'm running this on a H8&M8 V2 box, which may not be typical.
