I get a can not find customized_data.tar to install, skipping... message.

Yes, but I think at the end and you can ignore it

(It also happens at Finless permission patcher)

I carried on as normal but remote's still not working

Thanks JustMe! I installed the update on Finless 1.8 and my remote is working again. One little thing though the red setup button and the green app button are not working. They were on the the M8N stock rom. Any idea how to solve this?

Unfortunately I don't have one of those units on hand to test, but at least most of the functions are working good to seem some people appreciate other works

as no spam me said ignore it mean nothing I think at one stage acemax had that in there roms just to install xbmc which was pretty dumb ass if you ask me

Good Job!

I suppose it probably easier for most users to do this than copy the file over manually should they come across the opposite remote for whatever reason.

Remote Updator

I have got a m8 box ,in which original round remote doesn't respond ,how can I fix this issue ?i get android in screen ,the ir remote doesn't work .should I flash the fw listed in this post ,I can access abdroid recovery but can't navigate anywhere to select update from sd card .

I tried to get the roundish one to work after update to 109k4 but when i tried this zip it took me to the recovery menu saying no file was in it .. Edit...fixed second time around worked ..now i have a worse problem .. Remote works on it even turns of or standby the device .. But it would not turn it on .. U have to unplug replug the box to get power... Which is annoying .. Any help please ?
