Minix has just released their firmware 8 for the x8H. Only available as an update at this point. Also minix specific version of kodi 15.2, haven't tried it yet. It would be nice however if someone could take the Minix firmware, strip out the bloat ware and provide a nice and "skinny" version suitable for use with Kodi. So many boxes out there it's tough to ensure development for all of them.

I ain't digging it for a TV box to be honest.

Also like always with these manufacturers.... One step forward on a new OS 3 steps back!
Lots of the things they fixed on KK isn't again on LP...

I agree with finless lollipop for tv box atm meh nothing great about it unless you like candy, kit-kat has has so much development towards it for these units that it is more solid runner

Finless - I hope you can fix the audio dropouts minix has on the x8 - loads of people have this issue and have been complaining for ages now, but minix is just ignoring the issue.

Which box and what are the circumstances?
Been using the XH-8H plus for a long time and have not had any audio issues......
So is there some specific thing?

That's just a small selection - but the forum is littered with posts.

Basically after flashing via USB (so the box is clean) and with the tool supplied - audio is laggy and sometimes disappears altogether. This is not with any specific app - just navigating anything in general. Firmware up to 2a seems to be fine - but audio problems started after this.

Excited to see that updates might be coming soon! Looking forward to some Finless love for the X8-h! And if LL is no good in your opinion, I'll take your word for it! Whatever you think works best, I will install! If you need someone to test something, just let me know!
