    Got it!

Thanks MG, I will test the new KO modules now on different boxes.

Oh and yes, I can do whatever you need. Just let me know.

Actually my Wife is bugging me... Time for dinner and together time.

So I must go. This weekend I will test and do any ZIP update you need.

DAMN TIME ZONES! You are in bed when I am alive and vise versa... Hard to do things in one day together.

I tried the updated xpad.ko on my X8-H but I still cannot insmod it. Just putting that out there in case it's useful

Oh and I am using a wireless controller, if it matters

Can you capture the dmesg log? I want to get the error message from insmod.

Actually, I have always looked at it right after trying to insmod but never saw anything useful. I'll post it just to make sure:

                        Well, I typed

                        # insmod system/lib/xpad.ko //--> No such file or directory
                        # dmesg

Then copied as much text as I could get and posted it here

"No such file or directory" means insmod command could not find xpad.ko file.

                          1. Did you have xpad.ko in /system/lib folder?

If yes, you can excute as like

                          # insmod /system/lib/xpad.ko

I think you missed '/' at front of 'system/...'.

                          Thanks,

The file is definetely there. Adding the slash sadly does not make a difference.

I also tried to load the module with "Mount Manager" which I will be using to mount my NAS as soon as cifs.ko is available (*bambi eyes*). This app allows loading of kernel modules via GUI, so I could actually select the xpad.ko file from a menu.

Yet it still refuses to load. From what I gathered "No such file or directory" is not a very helpful message in this case because it seems to be a catch-all for any type of problem such as incompatibility

Thanks for your time Any other ideas? Is dmesg just too full of CPU scaling so that I really need to fetch a couple of pages?

Can you check about kernel version of your device? Is that 3.10.33? Sorry, because I don't have X8-H machine, so give me a inform about that.

No problem, thank you very much for your help.
My kernel version is indeed 3.10.33

                                EDIT: I got it!

                                Code:
xpad: Unknown symbol input_ff_create_memless (err 0)

Really had to scroll up quite a bit due to all the CPU scaling junk. Sorry for not catching this earlier
