Why do we get different AnTuTu result?

First, I found no answer, but maybe we will find together an answer.

I use Goggle to find some different AnTuTu result with this search 'antutu s802' ...

Ok, Guys, I can’t wait to share the great news i get from Tronsmart. They will release the first real Amlogic S802 Android TV Box,and they name it Tronsmart Vega S89! I love the name, but i don’t care too much about the name, lol, the specification is really making me excited, let’s check it on […]

    !!! the shown AnTuTu result is for M802 @ Onda V975M (Score 30221) !!!

HI,guys: I know you guys are really waiting loooooooooooooooong time for this review, i receive a lot of request to make this review, and finally finish it today! In fact, i have got this tronsmart vega S89 sample for almost three weeks. ( only PCBA board, no case right now). but why do you need […]

Today we bring you the Tronsmart Vega S89 Unboxing! For some of you that don’t know, the Vega S89 Elite is a new Android TV Box that features the AMlogic s802 SOC. Specs: -2.0Ghz Amlogic s802 Quad-Core Arm Cortex A9 SOC -Mali 450 8-core GPU...

"I’ve installed AnTuTu from Google Play (Version 4.3.3) and the score I got was 22,603, which will be disappointing if you’ve read GeekBuying blog post showing a score of 30,000. I’ve been told I’m not the only one to get this score with this firmware, and the previous firmware was different. The factory tried with Antutu 4.4.1 and got 28,000 to 30,000. I’m not sure whether it’s a problem with Antutu (CPU in test is reported as 4x core @ 1104 MHz, instead of 1992 MHz on GeekBuying blog), or if it is an issue with the firmware itself."

Here at the board we can find may different Antutu score.
One the one hand we find most between ~23k till ~27k (depends on @1.6GHz or manually set to @1.9GHz) OR at the other hand we will find >30k...

So, what's wrong with this device or SoC????

The creasiest think I found, was:

BUT maybe it is because of the not update of the bootloader...

BTW: because of the first Benchmark by Eric at the first link at the M802 with ~30K I'm not sure, it is really a problem of "The kernel is optimized for a tablet and this is why the Antutu scored are low" ????

A friend of mine bought the same Vega s89 standard from the same vendor on Ali express just a week apart. We both have finless ROM 1.2 flashed . He scores approx 23400 I score 32400 in antutu . Same apps on both boxes my CPU going all the way to 1992 . His must have the limited 1600 CPU ?

      THX, interesting!
At the moment nobody knows something about a different SoC, only speculation about looks at kernel, but this test gives me not a good feeling...
Would you like to use CPU-Z at both devices to see maybe you get different infomation (but I don't think so)?
And if you are able to find a download for 'SetCPU' (SetCPU_For_Root_Users_3.1.2.apk) maybe you can find something different...

No, I mean you both use the same settings... or do you mean, you both use different screen settings? If yes, which setting with which AnTuTu result?

Will Antutu scores be higher if you use a lower resolution? Less pixels to push therefor less CPU/GPU usage.

I can only imagine its quality of the chips then. Qualcomm and the big manufacturers "bin" some of their chips and use them for lower end devices because of microscopic differences in their manufacturing process. The difference causes them to be less stable/have worse performance. Maybe that's what were seeing here.

I think so too... maybe amlogic have a problem a there SoC production (maybe because of first bulk of the S802 or something like this)??? But if this is true, it is really worth!

                          EDIT:
BUT if it is so, why get pincussion different results with different roms from different brands?????????? (Maybe a flashing problem or so on????????)

Why do we get different AnTuTu result?

Just got an S82 Elite, should have been standard but will sort that out with the seller!
Out the box I flashed the latest ROM from BeeLink using the USB tool as per the Geekbuying guide. Installed and ran Antutu and have 31419

Should say this is attached to an old Plasma at the moment for testing so is only 1080i 50hz, but I have also had to adjust the overscan to make the screen fit
