    Got my WeTek box!

    Thanks to the folks from WeTek! I got my WeTek Play box today.

    Awesome packaging and very professional looking. For sure probably one of the best MX boxes out there.

    I can't wait to try it out this weekend. I expect this to be a great box especially with custom ROM support by Christian Troy!

    Stay tuned. I am not much of a "review" person but I will let you all know what I think of it.
    One thing I can say, so far every AML based box I have used has better color than any RK device I have. I have always liked AML based boxes for this reason.

      Really amazing job what wetek done I wish they were using s802 cpu but I believe they should have many reasons not to do so...
      Ported their rom to similar spec device I must say it is really pro rom ...
      Hope to buy my wetek box soon and enjoy all those goodies

                    They also sent the TV head end for the box. First time for me trying one on any Android box.
                    I don't know that much about that but if I am not mistaken it can be a PVR as well?

                    Time to learn about it

                    Anyway I have to run down to Sand Diego today but will get this all hooked up, let it OTA update and try it tomorrow.

                        I'd be interested in getting my parents one of these since they have satellite, but I wouldn't know how to receive the signal into the unit without the receiver.

                        Is there some sort of tool or firmware we can use with the DVB to unscramble channels?

                          have you not got a dish up. there is dvd-t aswell on this box aswell.

                            My parents do, but I'm not understanding how this unit receives the signal from a subscriber service (Dish Network/Bell ExpresVu/etc). FTA I'm sure you just adjust the dish and scan, how do I get the paid channels though?
