Wetek problems

Hi guys,

Because little or none support from Wetek I ask my questions here.
Wetek DVB-C
Ziggo Netherlands
OS: Wetek 1.1.4 and OE 5.95.2
Installation within 2 meters of main TV output, al high quality satTV cables (Hirschmann and Kolka).
Previous: 3 dreamboxe wich worked flawlesly even splitted in 3.

Problems (Tvheadend as Wetek Theater):
Not finding all channels
Artefacts
Lipsync
Some channels won't buffer or stays black (sometimes aftre reselecting it works)
Remote doesn't work (right button sometimes misspress and wont respond)
All on FTA channels!

Theater:
Bad channellist/EPG guide

OE:
Freezes once every few hours

Did several fresh clean installs without solution.
Tried also all devel builds, including the builds of Troy and Guru

Wetek support isn't answering my emails (accept first time with answer they gonna look in to it).

They say it's a problem with Ziggo (provider Netherlands) and the device.
Can someone help me out here?

I'm out of options. I reported the problems from day 1 but now they are tellijng that the 14 days send back policy expired for me. So sad because the kept telling me to try new things and give logs...

Have you tried it with OpenELEC from sdcard or from nand?

Yes I did... Same problems.
Tried all OE versions on SD and on NAND

Defective receiver (hardware issue)
Can be just a "cold soldering", but, company should agree to take a look and replace if needed imho

Yeah, but wetek.com (where I bought it) doesn't respond to my emails

Another day another try.
Fresh installed everything so 100% clean.
Kodi LiveTV freezes after few hours of watching. In VDR and tvheadend same problem
Sometimes lag while controlling it of 10 seconds (short freeze)
How longer it's on how more artefacts while watching channels and how more lipsync problems

Same problem on: 5.08 and 5.95.1 and 5.95.2

Hello, Have you tried posting your experience in the vender's WeTek section? Maybe WeTek will respond over there. I have been considering this box, largely based on reports of their service(and F/Ws). If the service is no better than the run-of-the mill, even with the firmware and tuner, $120(USD) sure would be hard to justify.

i saw one of your posts on the forum

You have to give them some time too

I think they need to see your logs and analyse them carefully

But their support is awesome, but like i said, we can't have all the answers in minutes.
But send a email to support asking them for a new wetek

Contact one of the Mods of the forum with the email you sent to support, and ask them to help talking with support
