mxq s805 v3_1 board

Just wondering if anybody has an mxq with the 3_1 board. I tried openelec but wasn't able to get it to boot. I've tried to contact the seller but they aren't replying unfourtinately.
Version Marking on mainboard: MXQ_S805 V3_1 20151230
Wifi Chip :RTL8189ETV
if someone has a link to the original firmware compatible with this board it would be much appreciated!

yes i have the same thing trying to find img. for it as well. i have used both usb to usb and sd. no luck

Yeah the only thing i can get to work is the openelec and it opens kodi is all... but i been looking for factory img for mxq v3_1 but there is just no info no where to be found on the internet know where.. i guess this box will be a paper weight or throwed in the trash im about done with it all..

Where did you buy it from?
I had OpenELEC installed on the SD card and like you, I couldn't get the remote to work even with a new remote.config file. So I tried to update it. Unfortunately that was my error. OpenELEC no longer boots even if I try a fresh install.
I still have crud version of Android though.
There is a version of OpenELEC that may work if you want to try it. I might try and short the NAND pins and see if that helps.

No, I had already installed 6.0.3.1 - It works,but the remote doesn't.
The version I linked to, is specifically for motherboard V3_1, but I can't check it as I already tried to update from 6.0.3.1 to a newer version with a tar file.

Hi,

I managed to unbrick.The rom cyx_MXQ_8189etv_8g1g_kodi_addons_160126_SD升级.rar helped. Then I could install m201d. Some strange freeze detected... needs more testing
