    Hi,

thanks for that great rom. Works really good on my device.
I was wondering whether there is any possibility to cast videos to the device from Win8.1 or Android. As soon as I try to start Miracast in the amlogic-settings app, the app simply crashes. There appears to be no "cast screen" option in the android settings, either.

Another thing that might be handy in my eyes, would be to spoof the build.prop to make playstore think it's an ADP-1 or Nexus Player, as this should enable all the great Google TV apps (special launcher, keyboard, cast app...).

    Any thoughts?

The cast app from ATV will not work for sure, G has enforced security in latest GMS and now it uses selfsigned Widevine certificates that are signed with keys that are available only on Nexus' bootloaders

As for casting, you should sideload the amlogic Miracast apk if you wanna use that, I prefered removing all the extra stuff, I really never liked Miracast at all, laggy and with very bad quality, a cable can't be beaten

After playing around with this and other roms for these sticks our conclusion is, they are all pretty great, the one thing that is really annoying is that these little sticks do seem to be very WIFI temperamental. WIFI signal strength can be excellent - but if you watch the download speed on large files then you can see it drop the connection and then re-start again, so our best advice is, put these things as close to your router as possible.

Hope that helps anyone else with the same issues.

Thanks to ChristianTroy for such a great rom

I would open it and unsolder the stock-el-cheapo antenna and solder another one, it will be a little bit frankenstein but it's the same thing I did to a old dvb stb that had a shitty wifi antenna

Had to do the same thing with a brand new pipo tablet this weekend. Wifi reception sucked. Ripped apart an old router and scavenged its antenna ...and doubled my range...I found some on line for 3 bucks but wanted to fix asap.

                DVB-T support

                Nice Job Christian,

Would it be possible to compile following modules (if not already incorporated eg dvb-core.ko)
And allow .fw loading (it seems that stock kernel does not allow .fw loading)
When we would be able to connect DVB-T stick receive aerial TV.

                /media/dvb/dvb-core/dvb-core.ko
                /media/dvb/dvb-usb/dvb-usb.ko
                /media/dvb/frontends/dvb-pll.ko
                /media/common/tuners/mt2060.ko
                /media/common/tuners/mxl5005s.ko
                /media/common/tuners/mxl5007t.ko
                /media/common/tuners/tda18271.ko
                /media/common/tuners/tda18218.ko
                /media/common/tuners/qt1010.ko
                /media/dvb/frontends/af9013.ko
                /media/common/tuners/mc44s803.ko
                /media/dvb/dvb-usb/dvb-usb-af9015.ko
                /media/dvb/siano/smsmdtv.ko
                /media/dvb/siano/smsdvb.ko
                /media/dvb/siano/smsusb.ko
                /modules/media/dvb/siano/smssdio.ko

                That would be great:

I made it for mk808 but looks to be more cumbersome here:

Thanks in advance, if it is possible.

Fw loading works on Android, you just have to use /system/etc/firmware or /system/vendor/firmware instead of /lib/firmware.

About that I'm sorry but I can't do it because at that point it would be a competitor of the WeTek Play, but you can grab Amlogic kernel (they release it since it's GPL protected) and build it.

                    Hi

trying to re-enable Ethernet on start up via init.d.

                    In terminal emulator

                    `ifconfig usbnet0 down` swtiches off Ethernet

                    but

`ifconfig usbnet0 up` does not swtich it on again.

Have to go into settings to swtich Ethernet on again.
Is there a command line equivalent to swtiching Ethernet on ?

Did anyone try this ROM with MXQ box?

The MK808B-Plus is less laggy (or more lighter) with this rom or with other (lollipop based, cyanogenmod 12-wetek gift) Christian's Rom?

                          Christian, Many thanks.

They both works fine and any of them is laggy in a moderate use (you can't expect to load heavy websites without it becoming a big sluggish because the soc is a low end one), but if you start using Lollipop and you enjoy the Material Design you will barely go back to Holo based stuff

Does anyone know if these MK808B-Plus ROMs work on MK809-Plus? I've read that the only difference is dual-band WiFi.

Cloud you please add the required module?

I've also searched **** for the refs you provide, but wasn't able to find a suitable adapter.

Compiling the module is over my limitations at the moment :/
