Lollipop Minix X6 + Mygica [Roms] Ported to Mxq S805 wifi drivers 8188 or 8189 or 8812 or 8723 W.I.P.

Thank you Abdual for your work to make this possible!!!! This first rom will be a ported Minix x6 rom. Post two and three contain a flashable zip and a twrp backup!!
Post 4 will be a Mygica lollipop rom ported to the Mxq but will only be a Twrp backup to many mods to make it work correctly with just the install zip as with the Minix x6 rom wifi drivers will be the same deal read below if you do not have the 8189 chipset

For boxes not using the 8189 WiFi chip-set download the extra WiFi drivers if yours is in the zip rename it to 8723bs.ko Using Twrp copy it to system/lib then chmod it to 755 thats it. Happy streaming

Warning as with any rom some things might not work or this could brick your box. Don't try this unless you know how to restore your box with a factory image you have been warned!!

Both Roms come already set up for the 8189es.ko driver this is the driver my box uses.

This is the flashable zip stock rom no mods except for bootloader and only works with 8723bs wifi chip. I recommend you download setcpu and make your max setting to the max and governor to interactive i dont know why they release these roms underclocked like this!! This is the rom I started with confirmed to install and boot on a s805 mxq m201 board once it booted i started to highly modify it to work smoothly on my m201 board.

This link will be a twrp backup only works with realtek 8189 wifi. I will not be working on this rom any longer anyone that can do better than me feel free. But please give prompts to Abdual and myself for our work Cheers!!

what wifi driver do you need?? The lollipop drivers are not easy to find but i can try!! The only other driver i have sorta on hand is the 8188eu

Was hoping to achieve as many as possible, assuming wifi drivers for lollipop will be different to other android versions as well as say libreelec. I have managed to install your firmware, had to create a backup with TWRP of the firmware already on the box and then swap over the files, which worked.

The 8188etv is same as the EU i believe, was one of the more common wifi chips put on these s805 boxes back in the day.

OK i'm posting the correct twrp to install the zip there are two versions that i know of.You must be using the smaller one here is the one i use

Here are all the lollipop wifi drivers i have found the zip contains 8188eu,8189es,and 8812au the 8723bs driver is already in the zip. I have not figured out how to edit libhardware_legacy.so to use mulitpule drivers so you have to rename the driver your box uses to 8723bs.ko and using twrp copy it to system/lib and after that go back to the file and chmod it to 755. I hope this helps !!

I've tested both the minix and mygica on my mxq s805 with firmware 2015/10/22 and so far the minix is the fastest to boot and runs pretty well, the mygica takes a long time to boot but when it does everything works just sluggish. I do apply the cpu overclock on both with no-frills to 1.25ghz to both, could you debloat the mygica maybe that will help. Thanks for the great roms.
