This firmware have issue on WIFI on my M8S, it turns off randomly.
Fixed using the Stane firmware in page 1

flashing Stane image Without wipe was not a good idea - usb did not work..
But even after wipe - no red laght and sound from spdif (optical) ((

first post for me and it's a question , ive bought an M8S and foolishly
updated the firmware , now the wifi or ethernet box unticks every ten
minutes , is there a solution .

First - You have to ask seller foe firmware or link or at least manufacturer of box.
If not possible - a m not an expert.. but looks like you have almost same hardware s812 ap6330 - otherwise it would not work every 10 minutes ))
Try to flash openelec for s812 5.0.8 - may you will love it )

I also flashed the OpenELEC-Amlogic.S806-S812 form http://www.amlinux.ru/image/devel/
This gives you OpenElec Kodi 14.1.
It works nice, but some problems with hdmi CEC
-original remote does not work at all
-dts-hd and true hd passthrough does not work
-blue power light is on during standby
-can't wake the box when in suspend, or power on without reconnecting the powersupply.

Tvheadend works fine !

I know it's been a while but has anyone been able to fix the wake and power light problem on the Amlinux OpenELEC builds? I was able to create a remote.conf file that allows for the buttons to be mapped correctly but can't seem to wake the box up without pulling the power cord.

It's been a while since I used to cutom Roms for my mobile so I'm a bit lost on these TV boxes. Interestingly, the Amlogic S812 has a GigaBitLan (so 10/100/1000)

What that mean?
