IMHO this box is crap. Have only found one firmware that works and it runs Kodi horribly. I have brciked and unbricked this pos 4 times. Just about ready to chuck it in the trash.

Pass on any information you have to others if you like, may help.
Lets know the firmware you found and unbricking procedure may help other.
A bit of interest may get others working on more firmware

Make sure it has CE if you're going to try selling it at least in some countries, last we checked non of them did.

This firmware (lolipop) seems to be more stable and runs KODI well. Wifi not so good. Will try ethernet on the weekend. http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/downl...8s-tv-box.html

So I'm starring down the barrel of no notification or status bars.

Also I can only get a recent app list by using kk launcher I think, can't rightly remember which one got that to work.

Any work around or anything, even a third party app that may poke a hole through this thing and get me my notifications?

I managed to get the notification header section to appear using app full!screen but there are no notification updates.

Any info or any direction would be great.

P.S. mine is 5.1.1

Hi,

I ordered 5 boxes from Acemax with openelec, after a few days or weeks of use, the box gets stuck on the Openelec splash screen, I used KII-ota-20151030.zip and then reflashed to openelec OpenELEC-Amlogic.arm-M8SPlus-6.0.0-update.zip but still after a few days, three boxes came back to me with the same problem.

The boxes runs fine after reflashing but after few days and some after two weeks, it gets stuck on the openelec splash screen after the ROM logo.

Hallo to all! I have the same box, and i tried to install openelec but i soft brick it. I tried many firmwares to find the appropriate firmware for restore without any luck.
Can anyone please help me?
