Acemax - M8S S812, Kodi 14.2 (stock firmware). Pause and Play, video freezes, sounds works.

Using M8S from Acemax with stock firmware and kodi 14.2 (the one from the firmware).

When I play a video in kodi, if I hit PAUSE, the video will stop. However, when I try to hit PLAY again, the video freezes and the sounds re-starts. Tried searching in this forum with no luck, I did find this:

The "solutions" that have worked for some are:

1. Uncheck amcodec from hw acceleration
2. Get rid of kodi and use SPMC
3. enable Dynamic Refresh Rate Switching on boot (http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=229310).


Has anyone tried any of them? Any luck? Another solution perhaps?
