problem updating m8s+ firmware

hi all

i have a ott m8s+ but it has 4.42 and i would like to update

i cannot seem to boot using sd card, usb or usb a when a storage medium is present it fails to boot into recovery and just shows the m8s+ h265 screen

if i use the pin method without anything inserted it goes into recovery but when i insert the card etc it fails

any ideas?

it does seem to try in recovery but i get this package is for m8s+ this is a m201 any ideas?

this is the board inside the box it would be great if someone could tell what it is and point me to the correct firmware for android 5.1
