    NEW - Minix X8-H PLUS - Stock ROM 003 02/07 in flashable ZIP format

    Here is the Minix X8-H PLUS - 003 Stock ROM dated 02/07/2015 in flashable ZIP format.

    THIS IS NOT FOR the Minix X8, X8-H or the new X8 Plus!


    This is a full ROM and you can flash this over ANY other release!

    Yes you have that correct! It will replace ANY ROM you currently have! This is because I erase everything and start you fresh! Something a FOTA update does not really do. Trust I think this is better especially if your having problems and need to start fresh!

    One thing about FOTA.... If your jacked up due to issues, it will never be like a fresh install! I now provide you that capability with this flashable ZIP.

    A TRUE CLEAN install of 003 like your box was brand new!

    This keeps you from flashing a OLD ROM then updating using FOTA.

    A TRUE clean install

    NOTE: THIS WILL ERASE YOUR DEVICE! So backup anything you want to keep!

              Will the x8h+ ever see 5.x? Does it need to, or is there no advantage for a set top box?

                Surely there is a great advantage with lollipop but you have to ask at MINIX whether and when it will arrive

                    I didn't test it, but I think so... if you can select it from the USB pen (I think at external at recovery) then it will also work...

                        Yes YouTube works with the 1080p (when available) but you have to change it in the settings (standard 720p).

                            I emailed them and they seemed pretty mum about any updates beyond 4.x They just said that we'll be able to use their brand of XBMC for X265 decodes. And that's totally bogus. It's their flagship product and it's primarily used for xbmc. Yet stock XBMC can't use HW HEVC. I'm not thrilled with Minix at alll.

                              You are correct. Looks like Minix is about to drop 8X-H Plus from any further updates. Rumor is, they may soon release a final update. When that happens, Finless will give us more greatness with another custom rom. Woot
