Well, I got there using the ES file explorer but it says it cannot be deleted; how to set the permissions ?

Open ES File Explorer, go to Tools, short press root explorer.
In the popup window select RW instead of RO

Great advice. Not only will Reboot shut your box down completely, you can also reboot to recovery. Just another benefit of being rooted. +1

traidor Thanks a lot. I am in a business trip and won't be able to try it until the weekend. I probably have to clean up my installation first before trying Paragon software since the box freezes once I attach an external USB drive formatted in HFS+.
abdul_pt do I have to delete some system extensions, e.g. hfsplus.ko, before trying Paragon software? pr how can I else undo the patch you sent me?

I deleted the hfplus.ko and the device stopped freezing. Then tried the paragon software and it worked!

Tried and worked for me on many Android devices. I am wating to try on Lollipop wth this box

Yes, there is nothing wrong with the ROM, it was the patch abdul_pt sent to support hfs+, it didn't work for me, so I deleted the hfs and hfplus system extensions and used paragon software instead. abdul_pt is doing a great job, I really hope he gets into the lollipop ROM task; would be great for all x8-h plus owners.
