I have an M8S MBOX M8_V8_8 Dated 2015 09 23 that is bricked. The blue light is on and I can connect to USB Burning tool but it always fails at 4% after it sends the format command that fails to execute. I suspect the nand partition is corrupted. I tried to get into mask mode and i need to put in mask mode by shorting pins 8 and 9. I also tried to short 29 and 30, all to no avail.
Do I absolutely have to solder pins and boot with tootthpick for this to work? Any other suggestions?
