Hmmm ddr4 wasnt expecting that extra port hook up for fan or serial very nice. No quick connect wifi ...

Wifi different then normal. Cant wait to see how it preforms hopefully a surprise like the d5

And yes a CLOCK.... Costly vents tooo wow... And a big chunck of metal kinda becoming standard. (They may one day understand better heat sink setting and part cheaper then the big hunk of metal.)

Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

The S905x has certainly garnered a lot of support with librelec and some very decent custom firmwares and with the DDR4 and possibly better WiFi, it might just slip into it's own little niche in the crowded market.

Bit more fiddling this day, Youtube and Netflix stream ok no drop outs using 2.4ghz.
Does get a bit warm the D6 in the 100c area at peaks 90c average, think it has to do with the launcher,

The Weather widget came good today, Launcher is OK but you need to Left or Right a lot to find apps.
Top Right Corner of main Launcher, Icons for Weather (Set area), Appearance (Change background) and Settings all can be clicked and used

Not to bad for a streamer and the Basics
First release of rom so maybe there will be some improvements further down the track
                  Unit does have Root.

Just got one of these so a couple of quick questions for Trebor.

Found out how to remove items from the home screen but how do you add them? Installed kodi 17.3 and can't get it into the scroll menu. Also - uninstalled TVMC but that tab seems hard coded into the desktop and the normal options key doesn't pull up the four way "re-order/remove" menu shown in your pics.

Lastly tried to install a few alternative launchers to get rid of this POS. There are two system apps "Amazing Launcher" and "Launcher". neither of which seems to want to disable or uninstall.

Any pointers would be much appreciated. Seems like a decent low cost TV Box apart from the damn launcher so hoping I can get that sorted quickly

Hi trebor Do you know maybe where I can find firmware for this TV box? What I can find are the firmwares for the D5 and the D9 models, but no sign of the D6 model... What I can understand is that flashing firmware from the D5/D9 model is not recommended, right? Can I flash the firmware from the different S905X tv box?

Maybe able to flash similar 905x BUT not 100% it will work
Look and ask in similar 905x threads is the advice.
