Just installed the firmware from recovery after twrp backup

What kind of TWRP did you use, and how did you install it? Can you put original firmware to any file sharing site? Link https://dropmefiles.com/tbRmE doesn't work anymore.

You can start twrp 3.11 by installing the zip file from the original recovery.

Hi all, do you have the original firmware of Mecool M8S DVB T2, I didn't save it ? and with firmware of august I have more crash and freeze and the scan of local TV don't work. please share with me the original firmware. regards

DTV settings on the MECOOL M8S Plus DVB - T2 / T / C TV Box Amlogic 905D 1GB RAM + 8GB ROM 2.4G WiFi 100Mbps Support 4K H.265
Just a quick run thru on setting up DTV as mentioned same as other Mecool DTV units.

Remote has all functions to set/adjust/record and must say for an IR remote appears to be working well.

We can hope for a OTA Update soon to fix this Region TV scan issue, all good so far...

Does it work with android, with DVB-C (cable Tv)?

It does not work for me at the moment (Europe/Hungary). In my current firmware I do not have the proper region settings for my area (in 20180810 firmware).
But as I checked the details of the tuner chip I think the hardware should be able to handle DVB-C, so I am waiting for a new firmware now.

I found a design fault that overheats and sometime hangs app and the os: the heatsink and vents are at the bottom but should be at the top.
Going to need some mod to cool it down.

Reverse usage so air vents is up.
